D.O. Pago Calzadilla
Tempranillo 60%, Garnacha 20%, Syrah 20%

Made from grapes from our plots Los Barrancos, Cuatro Pinos, Chocilla del Vinagre and Viña Carlitos. Manually harvested in 15 kg boxes. Prefermentation cold macerations for 3-5 days and then transfer to small stainless steel tanks. All these varieties are vinified separately until the end of the “crianza” ageing stage. Malolactic fermentation and subsequent “crianza” ageing in 3700 L vats and in 300 and 500 L French and American oak casks. Bottling with no physical or filtration stabilization.

Dark cherry colour, very intense. Aromas of raspberry and cherries. Spicy hints of cloves, nutmeg and white pepper. Reminiscent of rosemary and hawthorn. Fresh but unctuous, providing volume. Well-polished tannins and precise balance between fruit and wood.

Very appropriate for tapas and matching with warm salads, eggs, vegetables and stews.
