D.O. Pago Calzadilla
Tempranillo 70% and Cabernet Sauvignon 30%

Made from grapes from the oldest vines on our estate: Bildorado and Serrazuela. Manually harvested in 15 kg boxes. Prefermentation cold macerations for 3-5 days and then transfer to small stainless steel tanks. These varieties are vinified separately until the end of the “crianza” ageing stage. Malolactic fermentation and subsequent “crianza” ageing in 225 L American oak casks. Bottling with no physical or filtration stabilization. Wines remain up to 4 years in our bottle cellar.

Cherry red with attractive veil. Complex nose with intense raspberry and blackcurrant aromas. Hints of graphite and liquorice on a spicy background. On the palate it is unctuous, powerful, with well-polished tannins, balanced and elegant. A finish full of sensations.

Optimum matching with roasts, oxtail, stewed rices with game, and red meat.
For an original touch, in perfect harmony: Gran Calzadilla and dark chocolate.
